• Langkawi
During my trip along the westcoast of Malaysia in spring 2002 I visited the places of Kuala Lumpur, the fast-growing metropole, the Cameron Highlands with tea-cultivation up to a height of 1800 m. Farther I have been in the district of Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar covered with temples built in caves, palaces of sultans and impressive mosques..
The island of Penang offers many attractions: buddhist temples, the Penang Hill and the busy capital of Georgetown.
Colonial flair is the experience you can feel in Melakka with its historical buildings.
The archipelago of Langkawi offers, expecting nice beaches, very interesting possibilities to discover the whole island and its outlying islands.
